When You're Too Old For Summer Camp

Now that you’re in high school, chances are that you’ve spent your fair share of summers in camp. Maybe you did arts and crafts, day hikes and camp outs, sports, or had special activities like zip lining. And in 7th or 8th grade spending the summer upstate by the lake playing soccer and making clay pottery was great.

But you’re out of middle school now. You probably have a driver’s license and you’ve spent more time away from your parents. Sleepover camps were a big deal for you a few years ago, but now it’s time for overseas trips. The Catskills or Camp Anawanna aren’t going to cut it for you at this age. With most of your friends and peers flying out for the summer, where will you be going?

Time for something different

You’d love to go somewhere far away, meet with local teens, and have fun experiencing what the country has to offer. But your parents want you to learn something. They don’t want you to “waste” your summer, and are pushing for educational content. And then of course there are those college applications you’ll have to deal with in a year or two. You know you should do something to help you out with those, though you’ve been pushing off doing anything for it all year.

This year there’s a solution; a program which combines what you want with what your parents need – and can even help you out down the road to get into college. Israel4Teens is offering an exciting new Israeli summer program for teens giving participants the opportunity to explore the country, hang out with local teens, and learn something new that will both impress your friends and make your college application really stand out.

Three weeks - Three Tracks - One adventure

The Israel4Teens summer program offers you the chance to discover a diverse and beautiful country. You’ll meet Israeli high schoolers, taste the local cuisine, and pick up some Hebrew. But to give you a truly unique summer experience, we’ve added in three specialized tracks where you’ll develop new skills you definitely won’t pick up anywhere else.

If you’re looking for real cultural immersion in Israel, try our kibbutz & Hebrew language track where you’ll experience kibbutz life while gaining a command of Hebrew. And you’ll interact with lots of Israelis up close and personal during “Tikkun Olam” social projects.
On the other hand if, you’re more inclined towards sports, you’ll love the Krav Maga & Self Defense track. In this you’ll learn the famous Israeli martial arts method known as “Krav Maga”, which combines boxing, judo, jujutsu, muay Thai, and wrestling. You get to meet Israeli secret service agents, learn self defense and survival training, and become a crack shot marksman, with small arms training and firearm safety lessons.

If you’re business-minded, however, or interested in hi-tech, you’ve gotta sign up for our Entrepenuership and I track. Israel’s earned a reputation as the “Start-Up Nation” because of its innovative businesses and burgeoning tech sector, making it an ideal venue for budding young business people and tech enthusiasts to learn firsthand how start-ups are formed and succeed. You’ll learn to create your own business, how to conduct market research, and practice public speaking with business presentations and debates. You even get to meet the CEOs and founders of Israeli success stories and visit the thriving companies that have made Israel the Start-Up Nation.

Israel4Teens unique three-track program offers you flexible, diverse experiences that will satisfy your parents and college advisor while giving you the kind of overseas summer adventure you crave. So do yourself a favor and so something truly different this year!
